Health, Faith, and Wealth: Our Big Goals for 2021
Is it time for new years resolutions already?! Why yes, it is!
How about along with our health resolutions, we challenge ourselves with increasing our faith and our wealth? I believe that each of these three things can complement one another quite well. For example, the better I feel about my prayer life, the more positivity I can allow for my mental health, and the less likely I will spend money buying things that will make me artificially feel good. That is one of many connections I can make between my faith, my health, and my wealth. It flows in all directions, too - if I feel secure in my finances, I have the mental space to pray more, which gives me strength to take on each day with a healthy mind and a strong body.
With all of that in mind, I truly believe that trying to do well in each of these areas will bring balance to our lives as Camilla and I transition into married life later this year. This year is an exciting one for us because we have so many things we want to accomplish and we're ready to take on the world together. Here are some of our goals!
Faith
Along with our normal obligations, we hope to:
Pray every single day for at least 10 minutes
Learn more about theology (Khang)
Health
For mental strength - read at least 12 books (Khang)
For mental strength - read at least 50 books (Camilla)
For bodily health - maintain my current weight of 150 (Khang)
Go on walks at least 3 times a week (Camilla)
Wealth
Max our our ROTH IRA's and HSA's (and maybe one of our 401k's)
Give at least $12,000 to the churches and charities we love
Find a job (or create one) that will pay me $70,000+ a year
What goals do you have for this year? Have you written them down? One of the lessons I've learned about goal-setting is that one important component is to "Begin With the End in Mind." Where do we want to be when this year is over? If we begin with the end in mind, we can carve out a clear path for ourselves to be successful. Camilla and I are a little anxious about our audacious goals, but we're also very excited, too. We hope that we can share some of that excitement with you and inspire you to make changes in your lives to become stronger in your faith, and move you toward your financial goals.
Finally, we wish you all a very Happy New Year - may this year bring you an abundance of hope and joy!
Peace,
Khang and Camilla
P.S.
We have a lot of business goals, too! Faith and FI will eventually be moved under our main business called The FI Resellers, and the Faith and FI website will be transformed into something new and great. Along with those goals, we will be doing a lot of other things:
Try to grow our Catholic Professionals and Entrepreneurs Facebook page to at least 1,000 members
Create at least 50 YouTube videos for our YouTube Channel
Make at least $21,000 from our side hustles
Design and launch our first online course!
